Star Wars Biscuits

It was my brother-in laws birthday a few days ago, and since he doesn't like cake, I had to pull out all the stocks and make him some amazing biscuits. These star wars biscuits were the perfect choice as it's one of his favourite movies/series ect.

I used the recipe for our vegan lemon iced biscuits to make these. I didn't use any lemon this time though.

I bought the star wars cookie cutters from ebay, there are lots to choose from.

I have never seen star wars before so this was quite a challenge. I had to find pictures online and have Joss giving me advice as I'm doing them.

I'm pretty chuffed with how they came out, and Lee (my brother-in law) said he loved them!

These are perfect for any birthday party! If your children, husband or any family member love star wars, they are sure to love these!

You could make some of these biscuits and let the kids decorate them at the party if you are looking for something fun and creative for them.

Be sure to check out the recipe for our vegan lemon iced biscuits. It's a very simple recipes, prefect for these biscuits.

To make the icing;

I used 500g Icing Sugar

2 tsp Vanilla Essence

Milk

Food colouring

Sift the icing sugar into a large bowl.

Add the vanilla

Add the milk a little at a time until you have the consisancy you like. It needs to be not too runny else it will just drip off the biscuits.

Seperate into bowls and colour.

Transfer into little piping bags.

Colours I used;

Green, dark green, turquoise/blue, white, black, darker blue, grey, brown, darker brown, red, yellow, darker/browner yellow and orange.

I used the cookie cutters that have the detail pressed into the biscuits before they are baked.

I then filled in the gaps first.

I found that doing it this way was a bit more difficult and if I was to do it again I would do the outer bits first, so if it drips in, it doesn't matter. Then I would pipe the extra details.

However, it's how you feel comfortable that matters.

I recommend a pretty small hole on the piping bag, this makes it easier to put in the small details.

I hope you love these as much as we do!
